A few days back, my husband and I were with our daughter at a fast-food restaurant and something happened that caught my attention.
There was a girl, my guess is she was about 8 years old, and she was moving a lot in her chair. A few moments later she fell on the floor, real hard- I was hurting from the noise. Thereupon, she got up and jumped on her mom to get a hug. The mom’s reaction was the event that caught my attention– the mom stopped the little girl and told her not to come crying now because she had warned her about what was going to happen. The girl did not care and kept on trying for the mom to hug her as she cried.
This scene made me think about this: how would it be if God told us don’t come crying now because I told you that this would happen?
Ponder upon this.
How many times have we done something even though we have been warned that the outcome will not be favorable?
If we are honest with ourselves, we have been this little girl quite a few times in our lives. However, God tells us to call unto Him and He will answer. I have heard this phrase before, but this scene made me look at it from a different point of view.
No matter how big of a mistake we do God will always open up His arms and hug us as we cry it out because we messed up. So call His name! Call upon God and He will hug you, kiss you, dry your tears, and explain with much love that this is what He had warned you about. Call unto God and He will answer.
Jeremiah 33:3 3 Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
