Top 3 Restaurants at Universal CityWalk

Both parks at Universal Orlando have a decent amount of options when it comes to dinning. This time we decided we would do it differently and walked out to CityWalk to have lunch and dinner both days. Yes, it may be a bit of a walk but for us, it was worth it. Here are our top 3 places to go eat, and that I believe will be totally worth the “trip”:

  1. Vivo Italian Kitchen– Think Olive Garden, but better. I find this place to be well-priced. In addition, we feel it is family friendly but can also be a fun getaway for just adults. Food is delicious, and the portions are perfect. You will be satisfied and will not need a nap afterward. We loved it for dinner since it is air-conditioned and we got to get out of the sun for a while.
  2. Breadbox Handcrafted Sandwiches– A hidden gem. The first time we went was for lunch, and it was so quiet that we even forgot we were at CityWalk. Then we went at dinner time and it was still not as loud as it was outside. Both times our sandwiches and fries were superb.
  3. The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen– The name is a mouthful but your mouth will be full with all the goodness this place has to offer. This is a complete experience. You can simply enjoy a shake or one of their many chocolates, macaroons, cookies, and cupcakes at the first level of the building, or you can enjoy a full-service restaurant. I recommend you do the restaurant and if you do, you must order the Warm Chocolate Almond Bread- once you taste it “you will not want to share”. In addition, the “owners” are always around and you can ask them anything. Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeoaux-Tinker Toothsome and Jacque’s the robot are truly the cherry on top of this experience. Make sure you read their story on the first page of the menu. Besides, it is impossible to miss and right next to Island of Adventure’s entrance.

BONUS- I felt extra secure inside CityWalk because of security checks everyone before going in. Self-parking is free after 6pm if you just want to hang out or visit any of the restaurants without paying for parking.
